This is a program that helps monitor and control system services.
Services are those programs in a system that run continually in the background. It is necessary to know how these services are performing at all times. The operating system then would be able to optimize the processes best. The OS monitors the services and starts and stops them as needed. Services help control hardware, monitor applications and support all system level functions. Remote Service Monitor controls the status of your network services and allows them to be started or stopped. Administrative privileges will be required to manage these services on the network computer. The tool comes with a user friendly graphical interface. The display area is mainly for display of a list of services. The list shows you the service name, display name and state of each of the services.
There is a text box for entering the IP address of the remote network computer. To authenticate your credentials you can choose to opt for “current credentials” which means that whatever user name, password has been used to access the system currently still holds. Otherwise, you can opt to enter the user name and the password. When the credentials are entered, the program will collect information about the current services on the remote machines and display them. It is up to you as the administrator to decide what services to continue and what to let drop. This is a very good product. If you are looking for a similar solution, you should try it in your exact workflow.
